May 28, 2025 -- PALMETTO, Fla. - The new Renaissance Event Center is a modernized, state-of-the-art venue which opened in August of 2024. The event space is run by the non-profit organization, Renaissance Arts and Education, Inc. which operates two schools: Manatee School For the Arts (MSA) and ¡HOLA! Elementary School. The one-of-a-kind venue sits on the beautiful charter public school campus of MSA. The new building serves at the High School Student Center during school hours and transforms for private events on weekends and in summertime.
MSA was established 27 years ago and the campus has expanded to four buildings with over 115 teachers and continues to grow. The main building at MSA was originally a bowling alley prior to 1998 and has since been completely restructured into an amazing educational facility. Their mainstream school draws a diverse student population from the entire Manatee County. The school's rich history in the arts and academics makes it an exceptional learning environment. From their arts infusion of music, dance, theatre, song, art, graphics and photography to a core academics program, MSA offers students an enriched and well-rounded education.
"Don't let the understated 'warehouse' exterior fool you" Beth Oslander, Facility Event Manager exclaimed. "Our year-round 10,000 square foot AV extravaganza event space is packed with surprises!" They can host a variety of special occasions, including weddings, birthdays, graduations, holiday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, quinceañeras, conferences, trade shows, sports, religious and fitness events. "Open the doors and get ready for the WOW factor!" she added.
Equipped with 36 85" LED screens as digital wallpaper, with a state-of-the-art audio system, they provide comprehensive cutting-edge AV technology to in-house design and logistics expertise. Also included is a kitchen and arcade... they are ready to host your next big event.
Most recently, they are offering Laser Display to sync to clients' party music. The efficient use of laser beam technology plus incredible acoustics rivals any concert or nightclub experience.
With support from over 25 wonderful event industry sponsors, Renaissance Event Center plays host to their own event this summer, an Open House Disco Night to showcase their "Chuckie Cheese on steroids," CFO Tim Murray says. Students and their families, event professionals and the local community are all welcome to RSVP and discover all that this unique venue has to offer.
